Polyester and other manufactured synthetic fibres such as nylon and elastane are derived from petroleum. As the burning of fossil fuels such as petroleum is a major contributor to climate change, we are working towards minimising our use of synthetic materials and limit it to garment functionality or performance purpose, and where possible, try to use recycled synthetics and man-made cellulosics as responsible alternatives.

We source wool for select products in our ranges from Australian Woolmark farms which aim to prioritise regenerative practices that encourage soil health, increase biodiversity, and improve water cycles.

Man-made cellulosic fibres, commonly known by the names viscose, rayon and modal, are unique in the world of textiles.
